Welcome to CCTV Camera Pros video instruction series. In this video, we will demonstrate how to set up a NUUO surveillance system for camera occlusion detection and alert. Camera occlusion occurs when a camera's view is obstructed by something.

  1. To setup camera occlusion detection, click on the Guard button on the NUUO main console.
  2. Select the camera that you want to setup and click the insert event button.
  3. On the event screen, select camera occlusion and click OK.
  4. You can adjust the sensitivity and interval on this screen. When done, press OK.
  5. By default, any camera occlusion events will trigger an alert message to be displayed on the screen. Other types of actions can also be configured.
  6. To activate the smart guard system including the camera occlusion settings just configured, click on the start button and select start smart guard system.
Notice how when the camera's view is blocked by smoke, the camera occlusion event is triggered and an alert is sent to the screen. The camera occlusion event as well as all types of events can also be configured to take additional actions such as email alerts, phone alerts, text message alerts, and central monitoring station alert.
