The 4MP-D180 is 180 degree wide angle security camera with built-in infrared night vision. This 180 camera is enclosed in a IP66 rated weatherproof dome housing so that it can be used for indoor and
outdoor surveillance installation. The built-in 24 infrared LEDs allow this camera to capture video in normal light, low light, and zero light. The fixed 2.5mm 180 lens captures an effective 172-degree effective range with no fisheye / image warping. The tri-axis turret dome allows installers to ceiling mount or wall mount the camera and angle the lens in any direction.
The 4MP-D180 is a hybrid analog CCTV / 4 megapixel HD security camera. This means that it can be used with older analog CCTV DVRs in analog CVBS mode, as well as the latest
HD security camera DVRs that support 4 megapixel security cameras in HD-TVI, AHD, and HD-CVI video modes. Installers can select the following video formats using the OSD joystick that is attached to the camera's video cable.

This camera is typically connected to a surveillance DVR by hard wiring it using the same
RG59 Siamese coaxial cable that is used for analog CCTV cameras. These HD certified pre-made camera cables can also be used.
If you do not need to record video and would like to connect this camera directly to a TV / HDMI monitor for live view only, a
BNC to HDMI converter add-on option is available with this camera.

Here is some perspective on the ultra wide angle of view this dome CCTV camera provides. The width of view of this room is 30 feet. You can see that the 180 lens captures almost the entire space. There are small blind spots in the extreme lower corners of the room. The effective angle of this camera is actually about 172 degrees, although it has a 180 lens.
Here a picture that shows how the 4MP-B180 was is installed to the ceiling tile at CCTV Camera Pros office. The white color of the dome allows the camera to blend in with the white ceiling tiles.

The optional
VT-J301 security camera junction box is an optional installation mount for this camera. There is a bottom and side cable inlet and the cable leads from your camera can neatly be concealed inside this weatherproof enclosure. When the bottom inlet is used, the inlet plug can be moved to the size inlet. This junction box can be used for ceiling or wall mount installations.
This is the optional
VT-L203 dome L-Bracket mount that can be used to install dome cameras to a wall. The product code is VT-L203 and it can be added via the dropdown options when ordering this product.
The above video surveillance snapshot was captured using the 4MP-B180, which is identical in performance and specification, except it is a
bullet-style 180 security camera. We will upload IR night vision photos captured using the 4MP-D180 (dome) very soon. The performance that you see here will be the same. while recording at about 10 PM at night. Please note that this is a low light surveillance test (not zero light). Being that the 180 dome is also weatherproof rated, this outdoor surveillance photo is very relevant when considering to buy this camera.
There is some lighting in front of the house where the camera was installed for this photo. There also a street light to the left of the lot. However, this is a very practical example for customers to see because a lot of times this camera is used in areas that are low light, like this one. You can see that the camera enables it's IR night vision mode in low light and captures a clear black and white image.

In our testing, we connected our 4MP-D180 to an
iDVR-PRO 4K surveillance DVR. In addition to providing a recording platform, the iDVR-PRO lets users log in from remotely over the Internet to view their security cameras live. The below image was captured while viewing the camera from the iDVR-PRO remote camera viewing iPhone app.

An optional
BNC to HDMI converter can be ordered with this camera. The converter allows you to connect your security camera to a TV via the HDMI input of your TV. In addition to the BNC video input on the converter, there is also a BNC loop output so that you can connect the camera to a DVR in addition to a TV / monitor. The BNC loop output is optional to use.
This device can be used solely as a way to connect your security camera to a TV for a live view only or you can also use the BNC output to also connect the camera's video to a second device, such as a DVR for recording video surveillance footage. You can see this in the above installation diagram.
1080p / 2MP Compatible Version
CCTV Camera Pros also sells the
HD-D180 180 dome camera. The HD-D180 is the 1080p / 2 megapixel version of our 180 dome camera. If you have a 1080p resolution DVR that is compatible with AHD, HD-TVI, or HD-CVI video formats, but not 4mp, the HD-D180 is the version that you need.
