The SYS-VM180 is a live security camera TV display system for multiple cameras. This system includes (2)
high definition 180 degree dome surveillance camera, a 4 channel video multiplexer, (2) 100 foot pre-made Siamese security camera cables, and a 5 foot HDMI cable. Customers supply their own TV monitor. Any high def TV with an HDMI video input and that supports 1080p video resolution will work (almost all modern TVs do). This is the perfect plug and play system for customers that want to display live video from a multiple security cameras on their TV using an HDMI input port.
Want to use different cameras?
Customers can use the 180 degree dome cameras that are included with this system, upgrade to (2) HD-BL8 adjustable lens bullet cameras, or remove the included cameras from the system and choose from any of these 1080p HD security cameras that CCTV Camera Pros supplies. We also carry live video display systems that support multiple cameras and multi-camera views.
Which cameras are best?
The dome cameras that are included with this system by default have a 180 degree fixed lens and built-in infrared / zero light capability. They provide an ultra wide angle of view.
The optional HD-BL8 is bullet style camera with a 3.6 to 16mm vari-focal lens and no infrared LEDs. The adjustable lens allows the angle of view to be much more narrow and zoomed in. You can see sample photos that show the differences in the angles of view here.
How-to Setup this System
Setting our multi-camera live video display systems is simple. This is how it works.
- The coax portion of the pre-made Siamese camera cable (blue line above) connects the BNC video output of each camera to a BNC video input of the VM-HD4 quad video multiplexer.
- The power cable built into the Siamese cable is connected to the power adapter that is included with the camera. The power adapter plugs into the power source near your TV. Please note that you can use a standard power strip / surge protector if you need more than 2 power supply ports.
- The video multiplexer also includes a 12V DC power supply. That can also be connected to the power outlet near your TV.
- The HDMI cable that is included with the system connects the HDMI output of the multiplexer to the HDMI video input of your TV monitor.
