Video Transcript

In this video we're demonstrating the BPRO-316VF Varifocal Bullet CCTV Camera in normal and low-light surveillance conditions. The camera's mounted in the corner of the room seen here. The size of the room is 15 feet wide by 21 feet deep, so the cardboard people that you see in the distance are 21 feet away. The camera's lens is adjusted in these videos to the 3.6-millimeter setting which is the widest setting that it supports.

In this view the camera's lens is adjusted to the 16-millimeter setting which you can see brings people and objects that are 21 feet away very close to view. The main features of the BPRO-316VF are it has a 1/3-inch Sony Super HAD CCD sensor which supports 700 TV lines of resolution. This camera is capable with all CC-TV and 960H format DVRs that have BNC video inputs. It has a 3.5 to 16 millimeter varifocal lens which lets installers adjust the field of view to the exact angle that's required. Automatic Sense-Up is great for low-light surveillance applications. The Tri-Axis Mounting Bracket allows installers to mount the camera to a ceiling or wall mount. It has a secure cable through bracket design so that the cable is protected from vandalism.

Okay, so here I have a BPRO-316VF and you can see there's a standard BNC connector and a standard 12 volt DC power lead. The varifocal lens can be adjusted here and the focus here. There's two rings, one through the varifocal lens, one for the focus and then you can see the design of the bracket has the cable going through the bodies so it's protected. Using the Allen wrench that comes with the camera you can loosen these two screws and then it's a Tri-Axis Mount so you can adjust this to be a ceiling mount or a wall mount.

If you're going to mount this camera outside you'll want to attach the visor to it to protect it from the sun. You don’t want any direct sunlight coming directly into the lens of the camera. That can damage it. That's what the visor's for. If you're using it indoors you really don’t need the visor on it, but if you like the look of it you can use it indoors as well.
