1. From the NUUO main console click on the Config button and select counting application.
2. On the counting application configuration screen, choose the security camera that you want to use for counting.
3. Then click and drag your mouse on the screen to define the detection zones. You will define 2 separate regions. The application will detect and count when objects pass from one region to the other. In this example, we will select 2-way counting so that we can count people both entering and exiting the building.
4. Click on the start simulation button to test the counting application.
5. Notice the result box which tells us the object count.
6. Notice that when a person goes one way they are counted as going in and the other way is counted as going out.
7. Click on the OK button when you are done configuring and testing.
8. To start the counting application, click on the start button and select start counting application. The active count of people entering and leaving the building is displayed in the lower right-hand corner of the screen.
