Video Transcript

This video demonstrates the focal width and zoom capability of a 6-60mm varifocal lens using a PRO-680DN box security camera from CCTV Camera Pros.

These two videos are using the same camera, mounted in the exact same position.

The difference is on the video on the left, the lens is adjusted to the 6mm setting and on the right the 60mm setting.

The garbage dumpster in the background is exactly 100 feet away from where the camera is mounted.

As you can see the 6mm provides a wide view. The man approaches the camera and stops at 13 feet away. In the 60mm view, the camera is basically zoomed in far enough to identify the man and letters on the dumpster from 100 feet away.

Using a 6-60mm vari-focal lens, surveillance system installers can adjust the field of view and zoom level anywhere within the range that is displayed here.
