The 4K-AD3 is a 4K resolution vandal-proof dome security camera with a fixed 3.6mm lens and built-in IR night vision. This HD CCTV camera supports 8mp / 4K UHD resolution in AHD, HD-TVI, and HD-CVI video formats. For customers that are currently using a legacy analog CVBS DVR, this camera also supports analog CCTV mode (CVBS) at 960H resolution (960 x 480). The analog CCTV mode is typically used by customers who need an analog camera now but plan on upgrading to a 4K DVR in the future. The video mode is easily changed via the
camera's video mode selector button that is attached to the video cable.

This 4K camera is enclosed in an IP67 rated weatherproof and vandal resistant dome housing. This camera can be used for indoor or outdoor security camera installations. For most exterior installations, CCTV Camera Pros recommends the optional
junction box installation base. We also have these installation brackets and mount options available. CCTV Camera Pros supplies this camera for home, government, and business security camera applications. The 3.6 lens is fixed and pre-focused, it provides a 90 degree field of view. This camera includes a single 12V DC power supply.

Viewtron 4K hybrid DVR. Mike's home security camera system was recently upgraded from analog CCTV to HD-over-Coax by replacing the older analog DVR and cameras. The existing RG59 Siamese coax cable and BNC connectors were able to be used for the new cameras.

Here is an IR night vision snapshot captured with the same home surveillance system at Mike's house - 4K-AD3 connected to a Viewtron 4K DVR. Please note that the house does have coach lights on the garage. So, this is not a zero light infrared example.

This security camera is IP67 rated. That means that it is 100% protected from dust and water intrusion. It can safely be installed outdoors in areas that get very wet. They can also be installed in cold climates and along ocean coasts where there is salt water.
The camera's housing is made with corrosion-proof alloy aluminum and stainless steel mounting screws are included for installation. CCTV Camera Pros highly recommends IP67 security cameras for outdoor installations. You can learn more about

This is the optional junction box that can be used to install the 4K-AD3 dome camera. The product code is VT-JAD3 and it can be added via the dropdown options when ordering this product. It has two cable cutouts: one on the side and one in the back. The screwable plug can be used to close either opening. This base plate is recommended for most installations as it provides a convenient area to house the BNC connection, power connection, and video mode selector that is attached to the camera's video cable.

L-Bracket Mount

Compatible with Viewtron DVRs
The 4K-AD3 works great with
Viewtron hybrid security camera DVRs. Viewtron hybrids support BNC cameras and network IP cameras up to 4K resolution.
Viewtron hybrid BNC security cameras have three cables.
- BNC video output
- Power input
- Video mode selector button
Here is a close-up view of the video mode selector button with the protective cap removed. To change the video format of the camera, press and hold the video selector button for 5-7 seconds. Release, press and hold again to go to the next video mode. The default video mode is HD-TVI. The order of the selection cycle is: HD-TVI, AHD, HD-CVI, CVBS (analog CCTV).
