The Vivotek MD8531H mobile IP dome camera is designed to secure mobile surveillance applications on vehicles such as trains and transit buses. The Vivotek MD8531H features a
1.2 Megapixel CMOS image sensor along with a fixed 3.6mm lens, providing a wide 80° horizontal angle of view.
This camera records in
1280 x 960 video resolution at a full 30 frames per second. It is compliant with
EN50155, which is the standard for electronic equipment operating in railway vehicles. Being that the camera is EN50155, IK10 and IP66 rated, it can withstand shock, vibration, humidity, dust and temperature variations in addition to direct acts of vandalism. This ensures a reliable video feed while the vehicle is moving.
The
WDR Pro Enhancement feature allows the camera to produce highly detailed images in bright or dimly lit environments. Further enhancing the image quality is the 3D Digital Noise Reduction, which reduces the amount of sensor noise and can also assist the WDR Pro feature. The Vivotek MD8531H has a built-in Micro SD / SDHC / SDXC card slot for local storage recording of video clips and snapshots. To make installation easier, the MD8531H is solely powered by POE 802.3af, allowing both power and data to be run over one Cat-5e cable.

Built-In Microphone allows the user to record audio and has an effective range of 5 Meters / 15 Feet. The Vivotek MD8531H comes with a
32 channel central management software and can be used in conjunction with NUUO IP Camera Software This camera is ideal for securing almost any form of transportation vehicle.
