The Vivotek VS8100 is a mini network video server that converts one analog CCTV video signal to a digital IP video signal. IP video servers are typically used when you need to use a CCTV camera with a network video recorder or when you want to enable remote access over IP without using a network enabled analog DVR.

Some of the features of the VS8100 include H.264 video compression, RS-485 for PTZ control and it shares the power of the 12V-DC camera that it is connected to. This server can support up to 30 frames per second in D1 resolution (720 x 480). It supports up to three simultaneous video streams, each of which can be set to different frames rates. The compact design allows the server to be discreetly installed along with the camera.
