The Vivotek FD8131 is a compact dome camera featuring a 3 - 12mm vari-focal lens and a 1 megapixel CMOS image sensor. The Vivotek FD8131 dome IP camera can record at 30 frames per second in 1280 x 800 Megapixel video resolution.

The sleek, compact design is engineered to be used in indoor environments such as a business or hotel. The H.264 video compression allows for smaller file sizes and less bandwidth usage. The 3 - 12mm lens on the FD8131 gives the installer a wide range of viewing angles and the tri axis design allows for both ceiling and wall mount.

The Vivotek FD8131 can record video clips and snapshots locally using the Micro SD / SDHC card slot. The FD8131 can be powered by using the included power supply or by using Power over Ethernet (POE 802.3af). It includes a 32 channel Vivotek central management software, providing one of the best values in IP cameras.

This IP camera is PoE (power over Ethernet) compliant which allows the installer to run a single CAT-5e cable to provide both power and data connectivity to the camera. CCTV Camera Pros supplies the following PoE injectors and PoE network switches which are compatible with this camera.
