The Vivotek-FD8164 is a 2 megapixel IP dome camera capable of recording in 1920 x 1080 (1080P) video resolution at a full 30 frames per second. The Vivotek-FD8164 2 megapixel IP dome camera features a Fixed 3.6mm Lens and 1/2.7" Progressive Scan CMOS image sensor.

For use in low light environments, the FD8164 has built in Infrared LEDs with an effective range of 15 Meters / 45 Feet. Further enhancing the low light capabilities is the 3D Digital Noise Reduction Technology, which enables the FD8164 to capture clear, highly detailed images in low light conditions by removing any noise or graininess. Another low light image enhancer is the Removable IR Cut Filter that blocks the infrared lighting and only enables visible light to pass through.

The Vivotek-FD8164 includes a Micro SD / SDHC Card Slot to allow the user to record video clips and snapshots locally. The elegant design makes the camera less intrusive for indoor applications. This camera is powered by POE (Power over Ethernet) 802.3af, providing both video and power over one Cat-5 cable. The Built-in Microphone gives the ability to record audio and has an effective capture range of 5 Meters / 15 Feet.

Also included is a 32 channel central management software to give the user the capabilities of a full NVR system. The FD8164 supports the H.264 video compression to reduce file size and conserve bandwidth.
