The Geovision GV-VD2440 is a network IP IR dome camera with motorized varifocal lens. This IP camera supports 2 megapixel 1080p resolution (1920 x 1080) at up to 30 frames per second. The Geovision GV-VD2440 includes a Motorized 3 ~ 9mm lens which lets installers adjust the field of view and focus of the lens remotely by logging into the camera over a network connection. The varifocal lens built into this camera provides the equivalaent of 3x optical zoom. The 1/3.2" Progressive Scan CMOS image sensor provides exceptional image quality.

The GV-VD2440 features a IK10+ / IP67 rated housing to protect the vital components of the camera from acts of vandalism in addition to harsh weather conditions. A tri-axis mount allows the user to manually pan, tilt and roll the camera to get the perfect viewing angle.

This camera is exceptional in low light environments with a lux rating of 0.08 in color mode and 0.05 in B/W mode without the use of IR. Below 0.05 lux, the Infrared LEDs activate and provide an effective range of 20 meters / 60 feet.

The WDR feature helps to provide a high clarity image in environments with challenging lighting conditions. It works by combining the brightest part of the image with the darkest part to create one highly detailed image.

To further enhance the low light capabilities, the GV-VD2440 features a Removable IR Cut Filter, which blocks infrared lighting and only allows visible light to pass through.

The GV-VD2440 can be powered by either 12V-DC, 24V-AC or POE 802.3AT (Power over Ethernet) and includes a Micro SD Card Slot for local storage recording. Like all Geovision cameras, the GV-VD2440 includes a 32 channel NVR software license for recording and playback.
