For use in low light environments, the BL2510 has a
lux rating of 0.02 in both color and black & white mode, allowing the camera to continue recording with minimal lighting. If the lux rating drops below 0.02, the
infrared LEDs activate and have an
effective range of 50 meters / 164 feet. The
IP67 / IK10 rated housing protects the camera's internal components from harsh weather, dust, humidity, and acts of vandalism. The cable concealing bracket further enhances the level of security by preventing the cable from being cut or damaged by vandals.
The
WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) feature of the BL2510 works by combining the darkest part of the image with the brightest part to create one highly detailed image. This is especially useful in environments with challenging lighting conditions, such as a dark and bright background. A
Removable IR Cut Filter blocks the unusable infrared lighting and only allows visible light to pass through, further enhancing the image quality. The Geovision GV-BL2501 can be powered by
12V-DC,
24V-AC or by a
POE Switch / Injector.
This camera can be remotely accessed from
PC, iPhone, iPad, and Android mobile devices. Video clips and snapshots can be locally recorded using the
Micro SD / SDHC / SDXC Card Slot of the BL2501. The Geovision GV-BL2501 can be either ceiling or wall mounted for use in various applications (
Mounting Positions).
This IP camera is PoE (power over Ethernet) compliant which allows the installer to run a single CAT-5e cable to provide both power and data connectivity to the camera. CCTV Camera Pros supplies the following PoE injectors and PoE network switches which are compatible with this camera.
