The Vivotek-FD8173-H is a fixed IP dome network camera with a built-in
PIR motion sensor for true motion detection. The Vivotek FD8173-H features a 2.8 ~ 12mm varifocal P-Iris lens for use in a wide variety of applications. The P-Iris lens uses a built-in stepping motor to maintain optimal iris opening with extreme precision.
This camera can record in
2048 x 1536 at 20 frames per second or 1920 x 1080 at a full 30 frames per second. A 3 Megapixel CMOS image sensor provides high resolution image quality.
For use in environments with challenging lighting conditions as bright or dark back lighting, this camera features
WDR Pro Enhancement. WDR Pro Enhancement works by combining the darkest part of the image with the brightest part to create one highly detailed image.
Built-in
Infrared LEDs provide an effective illumination range of 20 meters / 60 feet in low or no light environments, allowing the camera to record around the clock. Smart IR Technology prevents overexposure (whiteout) by increasing or decreasing the intensity of the infrared LEDs as objects move in front of the camera's field of view.

Removable IR Cut Filter blocks the unusable infrared lighting and only allows the visible light to pass through, enhancing the low light image quality. Further enhancing the image quality is the 3D Digital Noise Reduction technology, which brings clarity to the image by removing unwanted graininess.
