The BIPRO-EC550VF is an outdoor IR CCTV camera with 50 high powered infrared LEDs for day and night vision surveillance. The
still shot examples below show this camera's resolution capability. The EC550VF also has a built in IR cut filter which shifts automatically to day and night mode according to the outdoor light level. The IR capability of this camera is up to 132 feet in the dark. This security camera is enclosed in a vandal-proof and weatherproof polycarbonate case and the lens is concealed behind hard coated glass making it a great choice for outdoor surveillance. This camera has a weather proof rating of IP65. The camera power and video cables are concealed in the 3-axis mounting bracket. The 2.8-11mm DC auto iris lens allows you to adjust the angle of view and focus externally on the camera using controls on the exterior of the camera, so that an installer can easily make adjustments after the camera is mounted. This IR CCTV camera has a 1/3" color Sony Super HAD CCD sensor for high resolution surveillance. A cooling fan is mounting inside of the case to keep the camera cool in warm weather. This camera uses a 12VDC power source.

Camera OSD (On Screen Display)
The latest generation BIPRO-EC550VF (released 10/20/09) is now equipped with a digital on screen display (OSD) menu which enables the installer to control adjustments to this camera for brightness, exposure, shutter speed, back light compensation, wide dynamic range function, privacy mask, motion detection, and mirror functions using an optional OSD controller / joystick that can be purchased with this camera. To see a picture of this controller, please click on the alternative image view at the top of this page. Is is not necessary to purchase a joystick for each camera. We recommend purchasing one joystick / controller for all of the EC550VF cameras that you purchase for your CCTV system.
