Description

The VDS-HD102 is a 2 port (1x2 - one video input to two output) SDI video splitter video that supports HD-SDI, 3G-SDI, and SD-SDI video formats. This is an active/powered device that is designed to split the signal from a high definition SDI video source and send the two signals in full broadcast quality to two sources over RG59 coax cable (RG6 can also be used). In an HD video surveillance application, VDS-HD102 can be used to share the video signal from an HD-SDI CCTV camera between two different DVRs or between a recorder and a monitor.

HD-SDI Splitter Wiring Diagram

Please refer to the below wiring diagram which illustrates using the VDS-HD102 to split the HD-SDI video signal from an HD surveillance camera so that the two outputs can be used by an HD surveillance recorder and an HD monitor with HDMI video input. Please note that an SDI-CR1 BNC to HDMI converter is used to enable the HDMI input into the monitor. The blue cable that is run between all of the devices represents RG59 coaxial cable with BNC connectors on the ends.
