The GV-DSP LPR V3 is a stand-alone Geovision license plate capture system device that is capable of capturing license plates and sending recognition results to the
GV-LPR System, GV-LPR Center, and to third-party applications via the OCX SDK. Software developers can build custom license plate reader applications using the API that is available upon request from CCTV Camera Pros, an authorized Geovision distributor. The GV-DSP LPR V3 is an embedded Linux appliance with its own built-in web server. Users can access the GV-DSP LPR server directly over the network or Internet via Internet Explorer web browser. The GV-DSP LPR is designed for one lane of traffic.

The GV-DSP LPR can use Geovision LPR cameras or 3rd party LPR cameras such as these
LPR cameras from CCTV Camera Pros. The LPR camera connects to the BNC video input of the GV-DSP. The GV-DSP LPR connects to a network using the built-in Ethernet port. LPR results can be sent over the network to a GV-LPR System, GV-LPR Center, or to a third party application using the SDK /API.
