Description

The VDS-HD104 is a 4 port (1x4 - one video input to two output) HD-SDI video splitter that is designed to split the signal from a high definition SDI video source and send the video signals to up to four sources over RG59 coax cable in full broadcast video quality. Please note that RG6 coaxial cable can also be used. The VDS-HD104 quad splitter supports all SDI video formats including: HD-SDI, 3G-SDI, and SD-SDI. This is an active / powered device that includes a 5v DC power supply.

In an HD surveillance application, the VDS-HD104 can be used to share the HD-SDI video signal from an HD security camera with four devices such as multiple DVRs and/or HD monitors.

HD-SDI Quad Splitter Wiring Diagram

Please refer to the below wiring diagram which illustrates using the VDS-HD104 to split the HD-SDI video signal from an HD security camera so that the four outputs can be used by 4 different HD surveillance recorders. Please note that the output could have been to a combination of devices that support SDI video input (not just HD-SDI DVRs). The blue cable that is run between all of the devices represents RG59 coaxial cable with BNC connectors on the ends.
