CCTV Camera Pros produced the following video to demonstrate the remote camera viewing capability of the iDVR-PRO surveillance recorder using a Mac computer. The iDVR-PRO allows users to access their cameras remotely over the internet from a Macintosh computer using the Safari, Firefox and Chrome web browsers.
The first browser that we will demonstrate is Safari.
Once the Safari browser is opened, type the IP address of the iDVR into the address bar.
The DVR will be accessed and the first camera comes into view. You can select other cameras by using the drop down box as seen here.
Next we will demonstrate the remote viewing from the Google Chrome web browser.
The DVR is accessed the same way for all browsers. Simply type in the IP address of the DVR and enter in your user ID and password.
Again we use the drop down box to select to select the different cameras connected to the iDVR-PRO.
Last we will demonstrate the DVR viewer access from the Firefox web browser.
In addition to supporting live camera viewing from a Mac, the iDVR-PRO also allows users to access configuration and controls of the DVR remotely from the web browser.
You can perform such functions as recording setup, motion detection configuration and PTZ camera controls remotely from a Mac.
This is not a PTZ camera, but if it was here is where you would control the Pan, Tilt and Zoom operations of it.
We hope that this helped to demonstrate the remote viewing capabilities of the iDVR-PRO surveillance DVR from a Mac PC. The iDVR-PRO also supports remote viewing from Windows PC's, iPhone, Blackberry and Android cell phones.
