The PIR-IR60 is a hidden infrared camera with invisible IR. Unlike most infrared CCTV cameras, the IR LEDs of this camera do not have a red glow which makes this camera undetectable to the human eye. This is possible through the use of the 940nm IR LEDs.
This camera is an excellent choice for the users that need a totally covert indoor camera that is capable if capturing surveillance video in complete darkness. Click here to view demo videos and sample surveillance images taken with this camera. You can also listen to sample audio surveillance footage captured with the optional microphone.
The Sony Super HAD II sensor provides an amazingly high-resolution image -
700 TV lines in day and night mode. The PIR-IR60 has an alarm output as well as an audio option for applications where audio surveillance is also needed.
IMPORTANT UPDATE! - This camera is now available in hybrid version that supports 2 megapixel / 1080p video resolution modes and analog CCTV video mode. This allows you to use this camera with an older CCTV DVR and also use it with the latest HD surveillance DVRs. CCTV Camera Pros highly recommend our AHD-PIR18 hidden motion detector camera. The new model is the same price as the PIR-IR60.

Invisible Infrared
The below image shows how the invisible infrared LEDs of this covert CCTV camera are positioned behind the screen of the motion detector so that they are completely undetectable from view. These amazing 940nm IRs do not transmit any red glow however they perform just as well as traditional IR LEDs and allow you to
capture video surveillance in complete darkness.
The following video demonstrates the color daytime mode of the PIR-IR60 as well as the invisible infrared night time surveillance mode.

940nm Invisible IR Video Test
Mike created this video to test and confirm that the 940nm IRs that are built into the PIR-IR60 are really invisible and can not be detected by an iPhone camera.
Watch the above video to hear a sample of audio surveillance captured using the camera's built-in surveillance microphone.
The following camera snapshot was taken using the PIR-IR60 in a room at our office that is 10x12 feet in size. The images were recorded using our
4 channel iDVR stand alone recorder.
Day Mode Color Surveillance
The first snapshot was captured during the day with the lights on in the office. In day mode, this covert PIR camera captured a crisp full-color video image.
Low Light Black and White Mode
The second snapshot was taken with the lights off in the office and the door shut 3/4 shut making the room almost completely dark. There is a small amount of ambient light shining from the computer monitor that Mike is sitting in front of and a small amount of light coming in from the hallway door that is 1/4 open. These were the only light sources in the room when this image was captured, making the room very dark.
Night Mode Zero Light Surveillance with Infrared Illumination On
The 3rd snapshot was taken with the lights off in the room and the door shut. This particular room in our office has no external windows, so this made the room completely dark. Even the computer monitor was turned off so that the room had absolutely zero light. The PIR-IR60 provides enough invisible infrared power to see very clearly in zero light applications.
CCTV Camera Pros Testing Summary
After testing the PIR-IR60 thoroughly in all lighting conditions, CCTV Camera Pros is very confident in recommending this PIR camera for covert indoor video surveillance applications in full light, low light, and zero light conditions. We believe that this is one of the best-hidden PIR cameras available.
Wiring Diagram
The below image shows all of the wires used to connect the PIR-IR60. The image shows the model with the optional audio surveillance mic.
Alarm Output
The alarm output can be used to integrate this camera with DVRs, burglar alarms, and any other device that has a digital alarm input. The alarm output is triggered when motion is detected by the camera's video. Two wires are connected from the camera's alarm output terminal block to the alarm inputs of the device that you want to trigger. Here is how it works.
- The alarm output of the camera is 5V DC.
- The 5V DC alarm out will turn on continuously as long as there is motion in front of the camera.
- After the motion ends, the 5V DC continues (delays) for 5 seconds.
- After this 5 sec. delay ends, the 5V DC goes down to 0V DC (low).
