The Geovision GV-FER5700 is a Rugged IP Fisheye Camera featuring a 5 megapixel, 1.45mm fixed iris lens with a 1/1.8" progressive scan CMOS image sensor. The Geovision GV-FER5700 has a recording resolution of 2560 x 2048 at up to 30 FPS (frames per second), providing high resolution image quality.

The Fisheye style lens allows user to view a full 360° at all times using a single camera. In addition to a 360° view, users can choose to have a dual 180° degree view, single view and quad view (Viewing Modes)(Demo Video). This camera utilizes the all-new H.265 video compression, which is more efficient that H.264, and reduces the amount of bandwidth and storage needed for recording by up to 80%.

The GV-FER5700 features Infrared LEDs with an effective range of 30 meters / 98 feet. The Intelligent IR Technology used on this camera allows the LEDs to dim and brighten as objects move in front of the camera. This prevents the image from whiting out due to IR bounce back, which occurs when the object is too close and the intensity is too intense.

The IP67 / IK10 rated enclosure protects the vital components of the camera from harsh weather, dust, humidity, direct impact, and acts of vandalism to ensure that the camera functions properly in all conditions. Power can be provided by either 12V-DC or POE 802.3AT (POE+), allowing both data and power to be run over a single Cat-5E cable.

Another feature included on the GV-FER5700 that enhances the resolution of the camera is WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) Enhancement. WDR Enhancement takes the brightest part of the image and combines it with the darkest part to create one balanced, highly detailed image. This feature is especially useful in environments with challenging lighting conditions, such as a bright entrance.

Further enhancing the low light capabilities is the Removable IR Cut Filter, which works by blocking the infrared lighting and only allowing the visible light to pass through. Two way audio is supported with a built-in microphone and audio output port. Local recording is made possible by using the built-in Micro SD / SDHC / SDXC card slot (supports class 10 and above cards recommended).

The Geovision GV-FER5700 supports dual video streams of either H.265, H.264, or MJPEG. It can be mounted in multiple positions such as ceiling or wall mount (Mounting Positions). Like all Geovision camera's, recording and management software for Windows is included.
