Recorded Video Search & Playback for iDVR-PRO HD CCTV DVRs

Follow these instructions to search for and playback recorded video data for iDVR-PRO 960H / H.264 / HD CCTV DVRs from CCTV Camera Pros. You can find the latest hybrid HD / CCTV camera DVRs here.

Setup Instructions

Using a USB Mouse, left click the Menu button in the lower left portion of the screen. Then locate and click Search. (Shown Below)

Search Options

Time Search

Now there will be three video search options. The first one we are going to cover is Time Search. At the top of the Search menu, left click the Time Search tab. Then select the desired Date on the Calender to the left. Just to the right of the calendar is a Timeline, here you will select the Hour and Minute that you wish to view. You may also manually enter the date and time using the input just below the calendar. Once the date and time are selected, you will see images appear in the thumbnail area. This will allow you to preview what is happening on each camera at the time you have chosen to ensure that you have the video you want before proceeding to the playback menu. Once you have the correct date and time, click the Playback button in the lower right portion of the screen. (Shown Below)

Thumbnail Search

The second option is to use the Thumbnail Search option. On the Search menu, click the Thumbnail Search tab at the top. Then select the Camera, Date / Time and Interval (Hours, Days or Minutes) that you wish to view. Based on the Interval that you selected, thumbnails will appear to the right in hourly, daily or by the minute sections. Select the thumbnail that you wish to view and click the Playback button to view it. (Shown Below)

Event Search

The third option is to use the Event Search option, this allows the user to search for recorded video based on events such as motion. On the Search menu, click the Event Search tab at the top. Then on the left select the Start time, End time and Cameras you wish to view. Under Event, select the event triggers that you wish to search for and click Search. All events will then appear to the right and will be labeled by type. Click the event you wish to view and then click Playback in the bottom right portion of the screen. (Shown Below)

Playback

Now on the Playback menu, your selected video will begin to play. You may select multiple grid displays such as a 16 channel, 9 channel, 4 channel and single channel view. The video can then be controlled by the button set on the bottom. (Shown Below) To return to the Search menu, simply click Menu followed by Search.

Video Reservation

The iDVR-PRO 960H Surveillance DVRs allow the user to reserve recorded video data on the DVR's hard drive. This basically exports the desired video data to a file on the DVR that cannot be erased when the hard drive overwrites old data. To create a reservation, click the Disk icon in the lower right corner of the Playback screen. Then the Bookmark Setup menu will appear, name the file using the Tag field. You may enter an optional message in the Memo field. Now select the Channels that you wish to reserve, followed by Log and Codec. Once you have everything selected, click Start. (Shown Below)

Now the video will begin to play, this will be the starting point of the reservation. Allow the video to play until you reach the point that you wish to stop the reservation at (you may fast forward), then click the Disk icon in the lower right when you reach that point. (Shown Below)

The Bookmark Setup menu will appear again. This time it will display the From and To time as well as the Info. If you wish to reserve more video data, click the Continue button. If you have the desired video selected, click the Stop button to close the file. (Shown Below)

Now click Reserve to save the file to the hard drive. If it is successful a message will appear and should say "Data is reserved successfully". Click OK to proceed. (Shown Below)

To view the reserved file, click the Menu button, followed by Archiving. Then click the Reserved Data Management tab at the top. All of the saved files will appear, select the one you wish to view and click Playback at the bottom. The video file will now begin to play. (Shown Below)
