In this video we will set the time and date on an iDVR video surveillance recorder. These setup instructions apply to the original iDVR-E analog CCTV DVRs and the new CCTV and AHD high definition hybrid models.
Setting up the time and date is one of the first things that you should do on your new DVR. To begin, stop the recording on the DVR by clicking on the red LED button and entering the administrator password. Once recording stops, right click on the mouse and click setup. Then select system from the menu, and then time. First set up which time zone that you're in. I'm in Eastern time so that's GMT minus four. Then I'm going to set the correct time down here. If the date's not right, set that as well. You can set up an NTP server to keep the clock in sync. You'll have to have your network set up first to do that so we're not going to cover that in this video.
You'll notice now that the time is correct on the DVR For Eastern standard time. That's it. That's how you set up the time and date on iDVR. For more information on the latest iDVR-E HD CCTV DVRs, please visit www.idvr.net. Thank you for watching.
