The DVR-MP44W is a stand alone 4 channel hybrid security DVR /NVR that supports up 120 frames per second recording and is configurable to use MJPEG,  MPEG-4 or H.264 video encoding/compression. The DVR-MP44W is a hybrid stand alone DVR / NVR with support for up to 4 IP cameras.  This means that you can create a surveillance system using a mix of CCTV cameras and IP cameras (CCTV Camera Pros, ACTi, AXIS, Sony, Vivotek).  This security DVR supports direct web browser access over the Internet using Internet Explorer or access via the CMS (central monitoring software) included with the DVR which allows you to connect up to up to 640 remote DVRs and view up to 64 cameras on one screen. This is a pentaplex security DVR for professional systems which means that it supports simultaneous live viewing, record, playback, network / Internet access, and backup operations at the same time.
