The LPR-800 license plate recognition camera has 1/2" Sony Ex-View CCD that provides 600 TVL in black/white. This model is designed to be used in States and Countries that use reflective license plates. This LPR camera has 96 IR LEDs capable of seeing up to 230 feet at night. This license place camera was a 75mm fixed lens and the recommended distance for license plate capture is 75 to 100 feet using this camera. This LPR camera is weatherproof and has a built in heater and blower. The camera housing is made of 3mm die-cast aluminum and the glass lens cover is made of 6mm tempered glass, making it also vandal proof. The 1/2" CCD provides higher sensitivity to capture license plates especially with the infrared LEDs on. The camera uses a 24VAC power source which powers the camera, heater / blower housing, and infrared LEDs. The on-screen-display (OSD) controls allow an installer to program the license plate recognition modes according to the applications requirements.

License Plate Capture Traffic Modes

The LPR-800 supports the following traffic modes which can be adjusted by accessing the cameras on screen display.

Traffic Mode 1 - Used for a direct front or rear view of the traffic lane when vehicle speeds are between 12 MPH to 68 MPH (20 km/hr to 110 km/hr).
Traffic Mode 2 - Used for a direct front or rear view of the traffic lane when vehicle speeds are faster such as a freeway. This traffic mode supports speeds between 56 mph and 112 mph (90 km/hr to 180 km/hr).
Traffic Mode 3 - Used for an angled front or rear view of the traffic lane when vehicle speeds are between 12 MPH to 68 MPH (20 km/hr to 110 km/hr).
Traffic Mode 4 - Used for parking lots to monitor parked cars or cars that are moving very slowly. Car speeds between 0 mph and 12 MPH (0 km/hr to 20 km/hr). Camera should be facing the front or back of vehicles directly.
