The Geovision GV-VS14 is a 4 channel IP video server that provides CCTV (Analog) to IP conversion for up to 4 cameras. Users can connect up to 4 CCTV cameras to this IP video server and make all 4 cameras accessible remotely over the Internet or on the local area network.  This is very useful for users that have legacy CCTV surveillance DVRs that do not support remote Internet access (especially from cell phones).  The GV-VS14 supports remote camera viewing from the free iPhone app and iPad apps that are available to download from the Apple app store.  In addition to remote access support for iOS devices, users can also access cameras connected to the GV-VS14 from Android mobile phones using the free Android surveillance app that Geovision provides. It supports a resolution of up to 704 x 480 at 30 frames per second per channel. The GV-VS14 can record video using the USB storage device input.

The Geovision GV-VS04H is a 4 channel network video server that supports remote camera viewing using the free GV-Eye iPhone app. This device provides a convenient way to enable remote Internet viewing for up to 4 CCTV cameras. This device can be used on it's own or as an add-on to a legacy surveillance DVR that do not support remote viewing. This video will demonstrate the free iPhone app. We start by tapping on the apps icon on the iPhone. The app opens and displays the device list screen. To add my video server to the device list, I tap on the + button. On the configuration screen, I type the name of my device, the IP address, default port of 10,000 and the user id and password. When I tap done, my video server is added to the list of devices. I tap on the device to connect to it. Camera one is displayed on the screen. I tap on the CH in the lower left to display the channel controls. I use the channel arrows to navigate to the different cameras that are connected to my server. The response time is excellent because on the app as you can see my the people moving around in this camera view. I click on the grid icon to display all 4 cameras on one screen. I can tap on any of the cameras in the grid view to navigate directly to the single camera view of that camera. I click on the back button in the upper left to navigate back to the device list. Last, I close the app. There are a few ways to integrate the Geovision video server with existing surveillance DVRs. If your existing DVR has video loop outputs, simply connect the 4 loop outputs of the cameras you want to use to the BNC video inputs of the video server. If your DVR does not have BNC video loop outputs, you can use a VDS-4008 4 channel video splitter to share the output of up to 4 cameras between your DVR and video server. In either case, the video server is then connected to your network router or switch using a cat-5 cable.
