Description

The SP-R16 is a 16 channel coaxial cable surge protector used to protect surveillance DVRs, CCTV cameras, multiplexers, and any other type of video equipment with coax cable video inputs / outputs. The SP-R16 protects CCTV equipment from lightning strikes and other types of high voltage surges. This rack mount unit is used in CCTV camera applications with coaxial camera cables and has 16 BNC female to BNC female input / outputs. In addition to DVRs and security cameras, this coaxial surge protector can be used with other devices such as TVs, satellite receivers, FM receivers, quad processors, video multiplexer, monitors, and any other device that uses a coax cable. The 1U rack mount case provides the option to mount the SP-R16 in a professional wall rack or case.

The SP-R16 is very typically used in conjunction with the SP-S1 single channel CCTV surge protector, where the SP-S1 is positioned on the camera end of a cable run and the SP-R16 is positioned at the location of the DVR to provide surge protection on both ends of the cable run.
