Surveillance Video Playback on iPhone App for iDVR-PRO CCTV DVRs

This video demonstrates how to playback video surveillance footage on iDVR-PRO H.264 CCTV DVRs using the iPhone app. The iOS DVR viewer app for iDVR-PRO lets users search and playback video that has been recorded to the DVR's hard drive. Two methods of video search can be used to locate the video that the user wants to play back.

The first method allows users to select a date from a calendar and time from a timeline to search for video footage. The second playback method lets users search through the DVR's event log to look for events such as camera motion detection and external alarm triggers from devices such as PIR motion detectors and magnetic door and window alarm sensors.

In addition to the support for video playback, the iOS app also supports live security camera viewing. Both live and playback work on WIFI and cellular Internet connections.

Video Transcript

In this video I'll demonstrate how to play back recorded CCTV video footage from an IDVR Pro Surveillance DVR using the IDVR Pro Viewer mobile app for iPhone. This DVR viewer app also works with iPad and Android mobile devices.

Initially when you log into the app the live view is displayed. Here's a four screen view live. If I tap on the screen that enables the menu system. I'm going to show you the timeline search first. I clicked on the search icon in the bottom and I can select a specific date. Then after I select the date I can use the timeline to select a specific time. Then when I click play in the upper right the video begins playing back from that point in time. I'm going to switch the video to high quality. This switches it to 960H resolution. I can switch from a single camera view to quad using the menu on the left. If I want to toggle that menu on and off I just single tap on the screen. I'll switch the nine camera view. I can, again, toggle the menu off by tapping on the screen. I'll bring the menu back up, again, by single tapping. Then when I'm done I can click live view in the upper right and that will bring us back to the live camera view.

The next thing I'm going to show you is how to play back video using the log view. If I tap on the log view icon on the bottom menu this brings up the log view search, so I could select a date range on the left and then select what type of events I'm searching for on the right by checking those boxes. Then when I click search that brings up all of the events from the DVR log. If I want to view an event I can just tap on any one of those and it will start playing the video on that channel from that point in time. Just like before I can enable the menu system by single tapping. I'll go to 960H HD quality, and I can switch from single camera view to four camera view and nine camera view and 16 camera view using that menu on the left. Again, when I'm done I just click live view again in the upper right and the app goes back to the live view.

These DVRs can also be accessed remotely from iPhone, iPad, and Android mobile devices, and of course remote viewing is also available from Windows PCs. The user interface of IDVR Pro is one of the most intuitive and easy to use interfaces that I've ever tested on a standalone CCTV DVR. If you would like to learn more about the IDVR Pro or would like to login to a demo unit at CCTV Camera Pros' warehouse using IOS, Android, Mac, or Windows, please visit www.idvrpro.com. Thank you for watching.
